Network Connectivity

Perth iX is a carrier neutral facility and will permit all carriers access provided they meet our security policies. Perth iX, in addition to being one of only two WAIX POP's in WA, provides connectivity with a number of ISPs including Telstra, SOUL, Amcom, Bright, PowerTel and People Telecom.

Perth iX is an ISP (Internet Service Provider) in its own right and delivers internet connectivity via our Cisco powered network. This core network consists of two Cisco 6500 Series Routers and two Cisco 7200 series border routers. Perth iX's primary link is supplied by Bright with a redundant path provided by SOUL guaranteeing a robust and reliable bandwidth.

Perth iX can offer connectivity by utilising various technologies including DSL, fibre and microwave. As a PowerTel partner, Perth iX can also provide DSL tails to your co-located servers. Perth iX can help you with your fibre optic (including point-to-point) and microwave connections through our partnerships with Perth's leading providers.

An ideal addition to your connectivity solution would be the Perth iX Managed Firewall Service; a fully redundant solution via dual Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Firewalls.
