Perth iX takes pride in the provision of a multiple security devices and stringent protocols to ensure the protection of our customers equipment. These devices include numerous high resolution security cameras that record to hard disk, proximity cards and biometric readers. A challenge door, aka, Man Trap, is used to authenticate colocation clients prior to their escort into the shared rack area.
Stringent security protocols ensure that clients, vendors, consultants, cleaners and even internal staff are only granted access to areas required and authorized. All records from motion sensitive cameras and door accesses are logged and time-stamped, allowing review and audit by Perth iX Network Operations Centre staff.
Rack clients are provided with a Safety and Security Induction prior to the issue of their proximity card. This provides them with familiarization of the security devices and procedures, and with a photo recorded against the issued card, facilitating a two-factor authentication before they are permitted entry.
To ensure high levels of integrity all Perth iX staff have Federal Police Clearance .
